Prediction of Earthquakes and Tsunamis
By Karen Martel
We live on an ever changing planet, from our weather to that of the land beneath our feet. No matter where a person lives either in the prairies, a city, or on the coastal regions of a country prone to flooding or not, the ever present danger of earthquakes and tsunamis don't have us overly worried, but keep us speculating.
Speculating is one thing, something we as humans do a lot of, knowing is another, and it's rare if not known to have someone know when an earthquake will hit, or when a tsunami will come roaring in to decimate everything in its path, such as the Asian earthquake and tsunami did.
Many of my friends have been deeply touched by the aftermath of the tsunami hitting Asia, what bothered me more than anything else was the children, with parents perhaps having to make the decision to let one child go, and keep another. People screaming for their lives. It's hard even for the most seasoned of disaster related stories we see in the media to comprehend the human tragedy that befell people on that terrible December day.
Having written various articles for on-line magazines regarding everyday events, this goes beyond the norm for everyday. As a psychic I have written several articles on various phenomena ranging from the paranormal to that of the mundane which at first glance seem to be with in the paranormal range but have a logical and practical explanation. I've had pre-cognitive dreams as have several of my friends, that is seeing into the future, and even written a book on my own psychic experiences. But nothing has prepared me for the psychological hammering that occurred when the tsunami hit Asia.
It has deeply affected just about everyone I know, and within my group of friends, we discussed the dreams and visions or even the feeling that something not right was about to happen. Of course it's easier after the event occurs and it's easier to apportion the ‘feeling' to that of the event after it happens. But what if through divine knowledge whether psychic or otherwise, we receive knowledge that tells us more is on the way?
I am not one to predict, in fact that's not what I do generally, I leave that to other people. But over the years I have come to rely on my intuition a great deal and not to pay too much heed to predictions unless they're personal. What if we knew and had the knowledge that mother earth/God was telling us that we are currently undergoing a polar shift in some way that would result in earthquakes, tsunamis and devastation of coastal regions of the world as we know it?
Recently a friend of mine approached me about their earthquake predictions. Wishing to remain anonymous I agreed to write an article on what my friend seems to have a rather interesting theory on. What was observed over the last few months on earthquakes, is that the plates are moving more now than ever before in recent geological history. My friend was recently documenting earthquakes that have been going on not only in North America, but in the Aleutian Islands, Japan and recently just off the island of Sumatra. With each successive earthquake, the earthquakes have become more intense.
Japan has had a spate of earthquakes ranging from the low 5's to the upper 6's. With each earthquake the crust has to move somewhere and with a sense of dread and knowingly speculated that it would hit around India or the Asian basin with the month of the last earthquake in Japan and shift the crust. This did indeed happen as my friend predicted.
Now, that I know my anonymous friend was somewhat accurate, I was told that the shifting crust would lead to some more devastating earthquakes. This time in Southern Europe somewhere in between Italy and Turkey or by the Canary Islands where the crust would shift dramatically. Having no idea where exactly, it's difficult to place a prediction on mere speculation. There is no scientific basis for this, nor does my friend have any experience on earth plate tectonics.
What my friend does know is that it's going to be with in the next two to three months.
Maybe to some, this is pure speculation and fear mongering. Prediction in the worst sense of the word, whether it's for the third world war or for the second coming of Christ or even the Anti-Christ, can have dire consequences, they produce fear and are fodder for the doomsayers. But what does that make for psychic predictions? Most predictions don't come true. Either because people have become aware and have done something about them, or they are out of focus and the energy from a prediction which would have taken placet has gone elsewhere. But what of psychic predictions? My friend is a psychic and has predicted disasters before, sometimes with dreams; other times by knowing that the natural progression of things have to happen in a certain order.
What ever might be about to happen either in Europe or else where, it's fundamentally important not to create a climate of doom or of ‘end of times' scenario. These things are prevalent on the Internet and must be taken with a pinch of salt. It would behoof us to learn from the Asian tsunami, that we can not take for granted our peaceful and tranquil world for what it is. It's changing and as my friend pointed out the Asian earthquake and tsunami is only the first of many mega-quakes to come. We are on the point of unprecedented change that may have us speculating on the world we now live in.
The human tragedy that's unfolded before our eyes in Asia may not be the last and we may see many more like that in other forms as well. Ranging from super heated summers to freezing temperatures unseen before, rising coastal waters and the displacement of millions of people. My friend pointed out that this has happened before and wiped out other civilizations in the process, and not just one or two either. The legends we hear about Atlantis or the underwater cities we see in the Mediterranean, are only part of what might have happened. Even the bible mentions floods with Noah preparing for them and with people laughing at him because he knew what was about to happen.
Speculation can be dangerous because it's based on ‘feelings' or ‘here-say' and does not have a scientific basis, so many base their theories and speculations with the general cloak of predictions. With this in mind, perhaps most who look at the Asian earthquake and tsunami with more than just the human interest story behind the tragedy, in that it would be tombstone technology; but those deaths came at a terrible price to wake us up to what might be unfolding around us, and to take notice for once to save what we can from a shifting earth that holds no bar on man woman or child, rich or poor. Civilization is not in danger from earthquakes or tsunamis but from our own ignorance and lack of ability to act on what might become more of a problem later when some predictions whether speculation or not, are ignored.
