Terms, Eligibility, and Conditions of AYJW Journalism/English Studies Scholarship.

1. Applicants must be college level students at the time of the award of the Journalism Studies Scholarship, and must continue their studies in journalism/english or closely related writing majors.

2. The Journalism Studies Scholarship applications will be reviewed and eligibility determined by the 1st of July of the year.

3. The Journalism Studies Scholarship awards $2,000 (US currency) to the selected applicants by the beginning of next semester of study.

4. The Scholarship is rewarded once and is non-recursive.

5. Gender, nationality or race are not considered on Journalism Scholarship Applications. No appeals on decisions may be made.

6. The Association of Young Journalists and Writers tries to be objective in applicant selection for scholarship but does not guarantee scholarship grant.

7. The Association of Young Journalists and Writers will not be held accountable for scholarship denial or use of scholarship money by receiving applicants.

8. The scholar shall terminate the Journalism Scholarship if he or she stops studying journalism before the scholarship is granted or paid out.

9. Personal income must be less than $50,000 (pretax) per year to be eligible for the AYJW Journalism Studies Scholarship.

10. The Association of Young Journalists and Writers shall be entitled to make and issue additional guidelines/revisions with respect to the grant at any time and to revise or amend such guidelines/revisions as it deems fit. All such guidelines/revisions shall be deemed to be part of the terms and conditions of the Scholarship.
